Setup: Outlook 2003

To setup your Outlook 2003 client to work with Popmail:

1. Open Outlook
2. Click the Tools menu, and select E-mail Accounts...
3. Click Add a new e-mail account, then click Next.
4. Choose POP3 as your server type by clicking the radio button, and click Next.
5. Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information:

• User Information
  Your Name: Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the From: field of outgoing messages.
  Email Address: Enter your full email address
• Server Information
  Incoming mail server (IMAP): popmail.emeraldhost.net
  Outgoing mail server (SMTP): popmail.emeraldhost.net
• Login Information
  User Name: Enter your full email address
  Password: Enter your password.

6. Click the More Settings... button in the E-mail Accounts menu to open the Internet E-mail Settings menu.

7. In the Internet E-mail Settings menu, click the Outgoing Server tab

8. Check the box, "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"
9. Choose the option "Use same settings as my incoming mail server"
10. Click the Advanced tab
    • Incoming server must be 995, and must use SSL encryption
    • Outgoing server must be 587, SSL encryption

11. Click OK, Next, then Finish
